Burlington County Feral Cat Initiative (BCCI)


Burlington County Feral Cat Initiative (BCCI) is a volunteer, non-profit agency serving the Burlington County area.   Our program is endorsed by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Health Department.  In order to achieve our mission of a feral-free future by neutering and inoculating feral (wild) cats and educating the public about rabies and the importance of spaying and neutering their cats, BCCI is seeking adult volunteers for:  secretarial duties (copying, mass mailings, phone calls, form preparation, database maintenance), fund-raising events, volunteer recruitment, help with mass spay/neuter events, educational seminars, and development of brochures/pamphlets and promotional events to spotlight BCCI.  To volunteer, call 609-261-8312 and leave a message.  To learn more, visit our website at www.njferals.org.


PAWS Nature Center of Mount Laurel

Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance, http://www.bcaaofnj.org  seeks volunteers (18+) for the following: Visiting Burlington County’s Animal Shelter in Westampton to help maintain the shelter’s web site  by taking photographs and noting current population; providing foster care to animals rescued from shelters and other means like owner surrenders; helping with animal adoption events, including our weekly adoption event at both the Moorestown and Mt. Animal Welfare Association (AWA), Voorhees

Animal Welfare Association (AWA), Voorhees, works with companion animals.  Adult volunteers needed for committees and special event projects.  Volunteers (16) needed for:

* Customer Services such as telephone, reception, member and data management;

* Pet-Assisted Therapy to visit residents of area nursing homes;

* Humane Education to present special informational programs in elementary schools;

PetPALS of Southern New Jersey

PetPALS of Southern New Jersey provides services for the companion animals of people living with serious illness or senior citizens.  Volunteers are needed to assist by becoming a “PAL” to a client and pet: deliver food and supplies, transport pets for vet and grooming appointments, open your home to a pet that needs temporary or permanent shelter, or assist with fundraising activities. Please call 856-939-6900 for information.
