The Muscular Dystrophy Association

The Muscular Dystrophy Association seeks volunteers (16+) to help with general office duties answering phones, preparing mailings, and organizing fundraising projects that may be held in your local community.  Candidates are being sought for the Advisory Council.  Counselors (18+) are also needed for one-week summer camp in June. Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital

Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital located in Marlton, NJ seeks volunteers Requirements: Be at least 16 years of age; Commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, duration of 3 months; Complete the application process in full which includes a: Health clearance, Background check,  Fingerprint clearance (for Medical Daycare Volunteers only), and a Volunteer orientation.  Volunteers work hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories and/or providing TLC to infants!  We also seek assistance in clerical support for the nursing, social work and medical records departments.  Opportunities are also available in the therapy departments, providing clerical support and observing therapists!  Volunteers must be able to commit to 2 hours a week!

Virtua Memorial Hospital

 seeks volunteers to work in several areas of the hospital and Auxiliary Thrift Shop located at 798 Woodlane Rd., Westampton, NJ 08060.  Shop hours Mon.- Thurs. 10am to 5pm, Fri. – 10am to 2pm and Sat 10am to 2pm. Caring Hospice Services

Caring Hospice Services http://www.caringhospice.com Caring Hospice Service in Mount Laurel, provides hospice services for a 6-county region including Burlington. Caring Hospice is a unique, holistic and cost effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs of their patients and families as they face terminal illness. Volunteers are needed to provide friendly visits to patients in private homes and nursing facilities, pet therapy, music therapy, make items like blankets, pillows and baked goods and office support. All volunteers receive training and continued support.
