Burlington County Library System

Burlington County Library System, the oldest county library in New Jersey, has a limited number of volunteer positions for adults (18+ who are not college students) for shelfreading, newspaper indexing, and other small tasks. These positions are at the Main Library on Pioneer Boulevard in Westampton or branches in Bordentown, Cinnaminson, Evesham, Maple Shade, Medford, Pemberton, and Riverton. Contact the Director of Volunteers, at the Cinnaminson Branch Library at (856) 829-9340. Applicants may be put on a waiting list for open positions. Applications for a limited number of positions for teens and students (13+) are accepted beginning May 1 for the summer session only. Teens and students should contact the Youth Services Department at the library location of their choice (Bordentown, Cinnaminson, Evesham, Maple Shade, Medford, Pemberton, Riverton, or the Main Library in Westampton).

Burlington County Municipal Alliance Network

Burlington County Municipal Alliance Network works with, and is funded by, the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, county and local government.  Municipal Alliances plan, coordinate, and conduct alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse prevention activities to benefit communities.  There are 26 alliances serving 33 communities in Burlington County.  Local events and projects need input and support.  There are many volunteer opportunities for adults and groups of supervised teens.  Call the County Municipal Alliance Coordinator at 609-265-5538 for the current contact in your town .

  – Evesham Municipal Alliance (CAEC/RAP Room) seeks teens (13+) to volunteer for Peer Leadership, PRIDE, and Teen Advisory Board.  Adult volunteers are needed for chaperones, office help, board members, and activities planning.  Visit www.raproom.org or contact 856-983-3328.

Interfaith Hospitality Network – Day Center

Interfaith Hospitality Network – Day Center volunteers needed.  Homeless families are housed evenings and nights in network of local churches.  During the day the families return to the Day Center in Mt.
