The New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium

The New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium, Camden, New Jersey waterfront is seeking energetic, reliable volunteers. Specific training is provided, but a love of animals, people, and aquatic environments is a must. Volunteers work directly with visitors to provide educational support as well as behind the scenes with aquarium staff to provide exhibit maintenance.  Volunteers with M-F availability are particularly needed.  Opportunities are also available for youth, (16+), to work as Guest Experience Volunteers. The Muscular Dystrophy Association

The Muscular Dystrophy Association seeks volunteers (16+) to help with general office duties answering phones, preparing mailings, and organizing fundraising projects that may be held in your local community.  Candidates are being sought for the Advisory Council.  Counselors (18+) are also needed for one-week summer camp in June. Bancroft Neurohealth

Bancroft Neurohealth serves children and adults with developmental disabilities and head injuries.  Volunteers (16+) needed for recreation, fund raising, companionship, office work, and Special Olympics.  Classroom volunteers help teachers and children and provide assistance with arts and crafts and dance therapy classes. Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital

Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital located in Marlton, NJ seeks volunteers Requirements: Be at least 16 years of age; Commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, duration of 3 months; Complete the application process in full which includes a: Health clearance, Background check,  Fingerprint clearance (for Medical Daycare Volunteers only), and a Volunteer orientation.  Volunteers work hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories and/or providing TLC to infants!  We also seek assistance in clerical support for the nursing, social work and medical records departments.  Opportunities are also available in the therapy departments, providing clerical support and observing therapists!  Volunteers must be able to commit to 2 hours a week!

Burlington Center Mall Ministry

  Burlington Center Mall Ministry cares for emotional and spiritual needs of individuals—listening, offering prayer support and referral to area resources.  In February, May and November, gift wrappers are needed.  We are looking for volunteers (ages 16+) to work on flyers, window displays and our newsletter, do office work, plan special seasonal events and serve on Board committees.  Training is provided.  Call 609 239-9300 for information.



Riverfront Historical Society

Riverfront Historical Society is dedicated to the proud history of Beverly, Delanco, and Edgewater Park. It maintains a historic collection in the 1806 Cooper Town Meeting House in Edgewater Park.
