Bridge of Hope Burlington County

a Christian non-profit ministry, working to end and prevent homelessness for single women with children, needs church partners, volunteers in fund raising and grant writing.  We are looking for the following: Join us for our Third Annual “Sleeping Out” Event on August 20, 2010 starting at 5:00 pm at Faith Presbyterian in Medford NJ ending the following day.  Project Team Leader needed for Christian based non-profit organization. Serving South Jersey and Burlington County. Estimated at 2-3 hours per week. Requirements: An extensive knowledge of multi-level fundraising, event planning, and may also including letter writing, personal contact, grant writing, and other duties. Having a current database to pull from is a plus.; 6-10 Team Members to act as salt & light in planning, executing, and following up with 2 major events each year – Winter Gala & Spring outing. Other smaller events or town sponsored fairs also in need of support workers.; Grant writer is needed to help our cause acquire available grants to expand our ministry and help as many moms as possible. Experience a must!;  Christian churches of any denomination with a small group of volunteers that we will train to act as mentors for a homeless mom and her children. American Red Cross- Camden & Burlington County Chapter

American Red Cross- Camden County & Burlington County Chapter – 11+  – Volunteers are needed to help in Disaster Assistance and Blood Services.  Volunteers in Disaster Assistance are trained and able to respond to local Disasters and assist in Shelters.  Blood Services volunteers assist with Registration and Refreshments at Blood Drives; or transporting blood for processing.  High School youth can participate in youth group activities and Red Cross projects.  Volunteer Orientations are held monthly – to attend and learn more about opportunities in the Red Cross. The Emergency Squads of Burlington County

The Emergency Squads of Burlington County need many additional volunteers, especially those available to respond to daytime calls during the week.  EMT certification classes are offered in county.  About half the squads also sponsor junior auxiliaries for teen volunteers.  Call First Aid Council Recruitment Chairman Rich Litton at 856-235-6715, or contact your local squad.

 

 

Christian Caring Center

Christian Caring Center, Pemberton provides emergency food and clothing, transitional housing and holiday food baskets.  Openings for board, office, counseling, fundraising, and thrift store. Volunteers (14+) are encouraged to call 609-893-0700. http://www.christiancaringcenter.org

Burlington County Emergency Services

Burlington County Emergency Services has volunteer openings for fire and other emergency (EMS) services in every community.  A rewarding activity for individuals who enjoy teamwork and are willing to invest time to protect their neighborhood.  Training for certification is provided.  New Associates program at Burlington County College available if you qualify.  For information, call the Burlington County Fire Marshal’s office at 609-702-7158.
