Emmanuel Cancer Foundation

is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide a variety of specialized services, at no charge, to any New Jersey family facing the challenges of caring for a child with cancer. The distinctive feature of ECF’s program is the tailored package of support provided to the family. The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, privately funded by the contributions of individuals, corporations, foundations and community groups. Volunteer Opportunities include: clerical support , organize a food drive, speaker’s bureau, assist with special events, organize a local fundraiser , deliver food to area families, or pack, shelve, and inventory the Food Pantry, track and acknowledge patient and sibling birthdays. In 1981, seven-year old Emmanuel Vizzoni was diagnosed with Burkett’s lymphoma. His parents, Susan and Joseph Vizzoni, experienced the enormous emotional and financial hardships that families endure when a child is diagnosed with cancer. In 1983, two years after Emmanuel’s death, the Vizzoni family established the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF) to as sist other families experiencing the trauma of childhood cancer.

Bridge of Hope Burlington County

a Christian non-profit ministry, working to end and prevent homelessness for single women with children, needs church partners, volunteers in fund raising and grant writing.  We are looking for the following: Join us for our Third Annual “Sleeping Out” Event on August 20, 2010 starting at 5:00 pm at Faith Presbyterian in Medford NJ ending the following day.  Project Team Leader needed for Christian based non-profit organization. Serving South Jersey and Burlington County. Estimated at 2-3 hours per week. Requirements: An extensive knowledge of multi-level fundraising, event planning, and may also including letter writing, personal contact, grant writing, and other duties. Having a current database to pull from is a plus.; 6-10 Team Members to act as salt & light in planning, executing, and following up with 2 major events each year – Winter Gala & Spring outing. Other smaller events or town sponsored fairs also in need of support workers.; Grant writer is needed to help our cause acquire available grants to expand our ministry and help as many moms as possible. Experience a must!;  Christian churches of any denomination with a small group of volunteers that we will train to act as mentors for a homeless mom and her children. Interfaith Hospitality Network – Day Center volunteers needed.  Homeless families are housed evenings and nights in network of local churches.  During the day the families return to the Day Center in Mt.
