The National Society of Colonial Dames of America

The National Society of Colonial Dames of America operates two museums: Peachfield, a restored farmhouse in Westampton, and an old schoolhouse in Mount Holly.  Volunteers conduct seasonal tours at Peachfield and at the schoolhouse by appointment.  Volunteers are invited to participate in elementary school living history programs utilizing both sites.  Call 609-267-6996.

Mount Holly Historical Society conducts tours, raises funds for restoration, and operates a thrift shop.  Volunteers are needed for fund raising and seasonal tours.  Call 609-267-8844.

PAWS Nature Center of Mount Laurel


PAWS Nature Center of Mount Laurel is a nature education center focusing on wildlife and barnyard animals and birds, the senses and the environment of an 18th century farmstead.  Volunteers (16+) are needed for tour guides, greeters, fund raising, telephone and office work.  Call 856-778-8795.
