Margaret Donnelly O’Connor Education Center at Ethel R. Lawrence Homes is in need of volunteers who can share their musical, artistic, performing arts talents or  the ERLH children during our summer program and afterschool enrichment program. Crossroads Programs, Inc.

Crossroads Programs, Inc. provides abused, abandoned, and homeless youth (including teen mothers) with opportunities for positive growth and development through residential and community-based programs.  Use your skills creatively!   Volunteers are needed for mentoring; teaching and tutoring; motivational workshops; recreation, transportation, or child care aides; fundraising and clerical assistance; arts & crafts and other group leadership; landscaping; facility maintenance; etc.  United Way Agency.  Call (609) 880-0210. ,

Police Athletic League (PAL)

Police Athletic League (PAL) works with volunteers from local police departments and adults in the community to provide quality team sports activities for student athletes.  Adult volunteers are needed for coaching and supporting parent association positions.

Quixote Quest Teen Volunteer Club

Quixote Quest is a teen volunteer organization where teens volunteer weekly to help disadvataged children, or children with disabilities, or senior citizens. QQ also has a special mentoring program where teens match up with a child from the cities of Camden and Trenton (transportation provided) to inspire them to ahieve more.  This is a great progam for aspiring teachers.

American Youth Literacy Foundation


The mission of the American Youth Literacy Foundation is to help all American children become literate before they reach the end of 5th grade by providing simple, phonics-based tools and reading curricula, together with training and support, to parents, teachers, tutors and organizations that work directly with students in need.

In support of our mission, Youth Lit develops and directs free after school tutoring programs in association with public libraries, YMCAs and other community outreach organizations.  Most of our tutors are high school student volunteers who are earning community service credits while making a valuable contribution to their communities

In 2011 we provide free tutoring at locations throughoutMontgomery County,PAandBurlington, Mercer andCamden County,NJ. We work in association with local YMCA’s, public libraries and other non-profit organizations.  Click on the map (left) to see some of the elementary schools and libraries where we teach, some of the YMCA’s we are affiliated with and some of the colleges and high schools that our tutors attend

Kaleidoscope Therapeutic Riding Program

Kaleidoscope Therapeutic Riding Program Help a child with special needs get more out of life! Flexible schedule! Great Exercise! Must be at least 12 years of age. Become a Volunteer! To help a child with special needs get more out of life and achieve more is an incredibly rewarding service. Our schedule is flexible and you don’t have to commit to the same time every week. Burlington County Superior Court

Burlington County Superior Court conducts nine volunteer programs: Juvenile Conference Committees, Supervised Visitation, Child Placement Review Boards, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Courthouse Visitors Assistance Program, Docent Program, Municipal Court Mediation, Small Claims Mediation, Parenting Mediation.
