Caring Hospice Services http://www.caringhospice.com Caring Hospice Service in Mount Laurel, provides hospice services for a 6-county region including Burlington. Caring Hospice is a unique, holistic and cost effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs of their patients and families as they face terminal illness. Volunteers are needed to provide friendly visits to patients in private homes and nursing facilities, pet therapy, music therapy, make items like blankets, pillows and baked goods and office support. All volunteers receive training and continued support. Emmanuel Cancer Foundation

is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide a variety of specialized services, at no charge, to any New Jersey family facing the challenges of caring for a child with cancer. The distinctive feature of ECF’s program is the tailored package of support provided to the family. The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, privately funded by the contributions of individuals, corporations, foundations and community groups. Volunteer Opportunities include: clerical support , organize a food drive, speaker’s bureau, assist with special events, organize a local fundraiser , deliver food to area families, or pack, shelve, and inventory the Food Pantry, track and acknowledge patient and sibling birthdays. In 1981, seven-year old Emmanuel Vizzoni was diagnosed with Burkett’s lymphoma. His parents, Susan and Joseph Vizzoni, experienced the enormous emotional and financial hardships that families endure when a child is diagnosed with cancer. In 1983, two years after Emmanuel’s death, the Vizzoni family established the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF) to as sist other families experiencing the trauma of childhood cancer.

Holy Redeemer Hospice

Holy Redeemer Hospice is in need of caring volunteers.  We offer a faith-based program with a holistic approach to healing and caring for the total person beyond their healthcare needs.  Volunteer opportunities include clerical work to support hospice staff, or patient visits and companionship to support hospice patients and their families.  Patient visits can be in the home, or in a nursing home or assisted living community.  No personal care required.  Training is provided.  Please call Jane Elliott at 856-939-9000 x 31520 or email jellio@holyredeemer.com for more info.

Buttonwood Hospital of Burlington County

Buttonwood Hospital of Burlington County, located in New Lisbon, seeks volunteers to provide friendly visits to residents, assist staff members in conducting activities, transport residents within the hospital premises, and provide entertainment. Deborah Heart and Lung Center

Deborah Heart and Lung Center, located in Browns Mills, provides evaluation, general medical and surgical care for heart and lung diseases.  Adult volunteers are needed weekdays to assist patients and visitors. Burlington Woods Center
