Pinelands Institute for Natural & Environmental Studies (P.I.N.E.S.)

Pinelands Institute for Natural & Environmental Studies (P.I.N.E.S.), Whitesbog Village, Browns Mills, a program of Burlington County College, provides hands-on science and social studies field trips for school groups and adults.  Volunteers needed weekdays to assist students with nature & history activities and explorations; conduct a station in the outdoor Lenape Winter Camp – January, February & March; assist in the design of educational props & materials; role-play historical characters during programs; assist with clerical, maintenance, and minor restoration projects.  Call 609-893-1765. http://www.staff.bcc.edu/pines

Pompeston Creek Watershed Association (PCWA) founded in 1963 to promote the restoration and conservation of the Pompeston Creek Watershed (Cinnaminson, Delran, Moorestown & Riverton). Volunteers are needed for education programs, stream clean ups, administrative work, scientific water quality monitoring, & restoration projects. All ages welcome to participate.
