Alice Paul Institute

The Alice Paul Institute needs volunteers 18 or older to help plan special events and fund-raising initiatives, as tour guides, for site enhancement projects and other areas.  Volunteers help support the Institute’s mission of educating the public about the life and work of Alice Paul and preserving and restoring Paulsdale, her Mt. Bayshore Discovery Project

Bayshore Discovery Project, operator of NJ’s Tall Ship A.J. Meerwald, needs volunteers to help on board the Meerwald and with shore-based events, publicity, maintenance, fund-raising and more. Shipboard Volunteer Training, required only for those who want to sail, begins Feb 13th. Call or email to register. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Riverfront Historical Society

Riverfront Historical Society is dedicated to the proud history of Beverly, Delanco, and Edgewater Park. It maintains a historic collection in the 1806 Cooper Town Meeting House in Edgewater Park. Pinelands Institute for Natural & Environmental Studies (P.I.N.E.S.)

Pinelands Institute for Natural & Environmental Studies (P.I.N.E.S.), Whitesbog Village, Browns Mills, a program of Burlington County College, provides hands-on science and social studies field trips for school groups and adults.  Volunteers needed weekdays to assist students with nature & history activities and explorations; conduct a station in the outdoor Lenape Winter Camp – January, February & March; assist in the design of educational props & materials; role-play historical characters during programs; assist with clerical, maintenance, and minor restoration projects.  Call 609-893-1765. http://www.staff.bcc.edu/pines
